Subaru Factory Navigation Systems
Subaru vehicles sold in the UK with factory navigation use a HERE-based mapping system. Most Subaru models from 2013 to 2022 with built-in navigation store map data on an SD card, accessible through a slot on or near the infotainment head unit. The navigation system is available on SE Premium and Sport trim levels across the range.
Which Subaru Models Use a Navigation SD Card?
- Forester (2013–2022, SJ and SK generations) — navigation on SE Premium and Sport trims
- Outback (2014–2022, BS and BT generations) — navigation on SE Premium and SE Lux trims
- XV (2012–2022) — navigation on SE Premium and SE Lux trims
- Impreza (2017–2022) — navigation on SE Premium trim
- Legacy (2014–2019) — navigation on SE Premium trim
- Levorg (2015–2021) — navigation on GT and GT-S trims
Where Is the SD Card Slot?
On most Subaru models, the navigation SD card slot is on the face of the infotainment head unit — a small slot typically below or beside the screen. The card is standard SD size. Some Outback models have the slot in the centre console storage area.
