Which Navigation SD Card Do I Need? Complete Compatibility Guide by Car Brand

Not all navigation SD cards are interchangeable. Each car manufacturer uses a different navigation system, and each system requires a specific card format, map licence, and software version. This guide helps you find the correct card for your vehicle.

How to Find the Right Navigation SD Card

There are three things you need to know before ordering:

  1. Your car’s make and model (e.g. VW Golf, Ford Focus, Mercedes A-Class)
  2. Your car’s navigation system name (usually shown in the system menu — e.g. “Discover Media”, “Sync 3”, “Garmin Map Pilot”)
  3. Your map region (Western Europe, Eastern Europe, USA/Canada, Australia, etc.)
